| I can definitely tell you that affiliation is crucial to jump starting a forum. Judging from the member count, post count, and lack of any affiliate reel you have none so far. I could help you find some affiliates - because unless you get the forum out there, people won't know about it. now I got here via an affiliate link at another forum's affiliate reel, so you must have one at least. I can help get more, if you so desire. Also, another small suggestion: it may be better to consolidate the number of forums until there are more members and an actual demand for expansion arises. Otherwise, the posts will looks thinly spread out and make the forum look dead. The PSone forum and the like in particular are sure to stay very inactive, just beacuae there's less to talk about. What I'm saying is, maybe consider taking all the Sony, MS, Nintendo, and PC forums, combining them into single Sony discussion, MS discussion, etc. and then taking those 4 forums and putting them together under a group called "Gaming discussion" or something. As time passes and members and posts accumulate, you could consider expanding and making subforums/new forums/new catagories. It'll keep your posts more concentrated, and make the site easier to navigate and cleaner looking. Just my 2 cents. I'll stick around to contribute some. It's not everyday you get the chance at being the fourth member of a promising looking forum. | |
